Sydney: Wisemans Ferry

Posted on September 11, 2019September 15, 2019

Wisemans Ferry has been around since the early 1800s and was once one of the main routes north out of Sydney.

Today the area is a tourist area with plenty to do in the peaceful little town for anyone.

On the weekends you’ll find motorbikes and vintage cars lined up on the streets while the owners stop off for lunch, in fact it can get pretty busy in town.

There’s plenty of places to eat and relax and if ferrys are your thing you’ll be set with one at either end of town crossing the Hawkesbury River and operating 24/7.

You’ll also find plenty of quaint places to spend the night including house boats and B&Bs.

It’s a pretty easy drive from Sydney’s North (Pennant Hills, Dural etc) or you can come along the river from the north from Somersby.

And what’s not to love, here’s some of the scenery.
