Adelaide: Adelaide Hills

Posted on January 5, 2008September 16, 2019

The Adelaide Hills surround Adelaide on it’s eastern side.  Snaking up into the hills are many little towns which are worthy of a couple of days of exploration if you’re visiting Adelaide.

There’s an amazing lookout located at Mount Lofty which looks out over Adelaide.

There’s the Bridgewater Mill, an old style flour water operated flour mill which is now a tourist attraction / restaurant located in Bridgewater.

The major tourist draw card in the Adelaide Hills is Hahndorf which is a quant, German styled town which features lots of amazing restaurants and tourist shops and get extremely busy on the weekends.  I don’t have too many photos unfortunately but theres some other great things in town like the strawberry farm where you can purchase freshly picked strawberrys and more.

Finally ending at Murray Bridge, a larger town on the Murray River before the hills fade away.
